OUR MISSION                                                  

Prior to his ascension into heaven, Jesus told his disciples to "be witnesses to (Him) in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth". (Acts 1:8)  Since these were Jesus' last words, it is imperative that we make them our first priority.  Southern Mission Baptist Church (SMBC) has many different ministries that reach its "Jerusalem ".  We are called to impact the areas closest to home, but Jesus calls for us to move beyond home to the places farthest away from us.  We are called to the whole world and not just right outside our backdoor!

Therefore, the mission of Southern Mission Baptist Church is to bring individuals into a saving and redemptive relationship with Jesus Christ.  We are a spiritual body whose only foundation is the Word of God.  We fulfill our ministry as we preach and teach, pray and empower, and forgive and reconcile.  We seek only to be God's agents of healing and wholeness in this wounded and fragmented world.  Our main objective is to bring Glory and Honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
